montana montage

howdy folks
annoyingly i can't figure out how to put a picture then a caption underneath it, so all the pictures are above, and here are the captions
1. robert me and robert's cousin vic (used to live in belize with robert) and 2 harleys on our harley ride the other day. here we are by lake koocanusa - koochi indians, canada, usa, is how it got its name - it's 90 miles long, 60m in the usa, 30 in canada. a bridge 120 feet high goes across it, toby told us someone he knew once dived off this, he survived. oh, just realised you can't see the lake in this picture, but i assure you it was there, and still is. just off photo to our left.
2. campsite location on our hike to glacier park last week - cosley lake - we swam in it, it was cold, it is glacial, obviously it would be cold. it was refreshing, for one second, then we got out and stopped screaming. amazing scenery. i'll be darned (a montana favourite phrase).
3. me (right) and a deer (left). i think this is a good candidate for another caption competition. i look quite concerned and mildly amused too, i'm not sure i was aware of the deer. a contender for wildlife photographer of the year perhaps. or perhaps tea cosy as head gear of the year.
4. a typical cry you hear in montana. possibly what led to elvis's weight gain in later years.
5. check out the amount of stuffed animals in this man's house! it was insane, he had a wall of north american animals, a wall of asian ones, a wall of african ones, etc etc, 2 walls of photos of him with the freshly shot animals, him looking vicious, the animals looking dead.. there is an elephant there, 2 crocs, 2 bears, jaguars, a lion to name just a few - he has 30 or so more in his garage waiting to be mounted... at least i'm not a leftie veggie anymore and didn't shriek in outrage at all this killing, it is par for the course here in cowboy land.
more to come, sorry for the time delay in blog posts, we are 7 hours behind is that a valid excuse? lots of news, watch this space. happy labor day, it was yesterday, not sure what it means or what the appropriate method of celebration is, perhaps animal shooting? or perhaps applying for jobs? jobs? what is a job? must check my dictionary. hi de hi happy campers bye for now xx
